Spain v Chile

Spain will still be desperate to win this as they lost thier first match against Switzerland so despite beating Honduras comfortably they still only have three points, and that is three less points than Chile have.

Chile have won both of their games 1-0 so far but they have missed plenty of chances so far and that could come back to haunt them with this group likely to go down to goal difference. Chile will be looking to grab a draw to secure qualification.

Spain v Chile Match Odds

Match betting is a massively popular market and the first market most punters choose to look at as your decision in this market is likely to impact all other bets you place on the game.

BACK SPAIN TO BEAT CHILE

Spain could be facing their toughest task of the group stage in their final group match against Chile and although they should still win this game, it will certainly be a test and they are unlikely to get things all their own way.

Chile finished second in their qualifying group with only the mighty Brazil finishing ahead of them so they are clearly no mugs and should not be taken lightly. They have players who can score goals and their defence isn't bad so if they play to their best and Spain underperform like they did against Switzerland they could even think about grabbing an unlikely draw.

Spain v Chile Asian Handicap Odds

The Asian Handicap is an interesting bet as it usually gives one team a lead that should be enough to cancel out any superiority the favourites for the game have.

BACK SPAIN -1

Spain are a pretty decent price to win this match but if you want bigger odds you will need to take a look at the asian handicap. Here Spain are starting minus one goal and we all know how good the Spain attack is so presuming they are in decent form they should be able to win this by a couple of goals, making Spain look a great bet -1 in the asian handicap.

BACK SPAIN 3-1 AND OVER 2.5 GOALS

It takes a serious effort to stop Spain scoring and they look likely to get two or three goals but this could be the biggest test yet for their defence, which is definitely their biggest weakness. Don't be surprised if they don't keep a clean sheet.

Ten of Chile's eighteen qualifying games had over 2.5 goals and four of the eight that didn't had two goals in so Chile's ability to score and concede goals has been highlighted.Expect both teams to score and another game with over 2.5 goals. The 2-1 scoreline for Spain makes plenty of appeal but Spain's strikers look as though they are warming up and they could get three here and 3-1 is a great price.

Spain v Chile Player Odds

Some of the most fun markets to bet on are the player markets, such as first goalscorer and anytime goalscorer. They are usually relatively big odds and can give plenty of reward if you pick correctly.

Spain v Chile Team News

Spain are expected to continue with Torres up front despite a poor display agaisnt Honduras, this means that David Villa is expected to continue on the left where he scored two goals from in his last match. After a disappointing display against Honduras it would be no surprise to see Jesus Navas replaced on the right.

BACK DAVID VILLA AND HUMBERTO SUAZO TO SCORE ANYTIME

With both teams likely to score it should be best to back each team's main goal threat to score anytime. Clearly Humberto Suazo is a massive threat for Chile, he scored more qualifying goals than any other player in South America with ten and he should get amongst the goals in this match despite looking a bit rusty against Switzerland having been injured for the Honduras match. There is little doubt David Villa is the main goal threat for Spain, he is the only player who has scored for them at the World Cup and with Spain likely to get a couple of goals it is hard not to see Villa getting at least one.

Spain v Chile Half Time Odds

The latest tips that include the half time result in them, some of the most popular bets here are half time result and half time/full time.

BACK DRAW / SPAIN IN THE HALF TIME / FULL TIME BETTING

With 1-1 a possible and likely half time scoreline as well as 0-0 it seems best to expect this to be a draw at half time. Spain should be able to get the game won by the final whistle and you should get a more than fair price on Draw/Spain in the half time / full time betting.

Spain v Chile Best Bet

BACK DAVID VILLA TO SCORE ANYTIME AGAINST CHILE

It looks likely that if Spain score, David Villa will score, and Spain should certianly score in this match. David Villa was Spain's top scorer at Euro 2008, in qualifying, and he is their top scorer at the World Cup currently and he is fancied to score again.
