Group G has been branded the Group of Death by pundits and it is no wonder why, according to the bookies three of the best ten teams in the tournament are in this group. Brazil are by far the best of those teams and should be able to win the group despite coming up against some very good teams.
A massive scrap for second place is likely to place between Portugal and the Ivory Coast and the bookies think the sides are very evenly matched with most pricing up the pair as joint favourites for second place. Massive preference is for Ivory Coast, who are fanceid to go very well in South Africa. Whoever Portugal had been drawn against we would have been looking to take them on, they are a very overrated team.
The winner of Group G will go on to play the runner up in Group H in the Second Round whilst the runner up in Group G will face the winner of Group H.
